A printable dog care record for your sitter

Download the printable dog care record to write down your dog’s contacts, the instructions you have agreed with a sitter and the care actually completed. The blank A4 worksheet and fictional example are made for this website. They contain no app data; Kwispel’s text and PDF handoff are separate sharing options.

Handoff in Kwispel puts together what a dog sitter, a neighbour or a boarding kennel needs to know while you are away. You share it as text, for example in a message, or as a PDF titled Care guide for your dog. The sitter does not need Kwispel or a place in your pack to read it.

How do I use the printable dog care record?

Print the blank A4 PDF and complete the contacts, care period and owner’s instructions before the handoff. As each task is completed, add its date, time and a factual note or initials. Return the written record with the dog’s belongings. This paper worksheet is completed by hand; it does not sync with Kwispel.

What does a completed record look like?

This fictional example shows how a sitter could record a meal served, a walk completed and the return of a key. The names, tasks and times are invented to demonstrate the fields. Use your own agreed instructions; the example provides no care recommendations.

Should I send a handoff or add them to the pack?

A handoff is a snapshot. You send it once, with Share as text, Copy summary or Share as PDF, and nothing the sitter does afterwards comes back into your log.

If someone helps out regularly and should log for themselves, invite them into your pack with the role Can log care instead.

What a handoff does not do

  • It does not update itself: send a new one when something changes.
  • The sitter cannot add anything to your log through it.
