About Kwispel
Kwispel is an iPhone app for keeping track of how your dog is doing and what happened: check-ins, medication, vaccinations, weight, walks and more. It is made by NETKREATIVES BV, a small app studio in Dendermonde, Belgium. The name comes from the Dutch word for a dog wagging its tail.
Why a log and not advice?
In the consulting room you are often asked when something started, how often it happened and what your dog ate, and you have to answer from memory. Kwispel exists so you can write it down at the time, and later arrive with dates and counts instead of a vague impression.
That is also why Kwispel judges nothing. It does not diagnose, does not tell you what is normal for your dog and gives no advice on treatments, doses or schedules. The vet report says so in its first line: it contains logged facts only.
How do we check what is on this site?
Every page about a feature has been checked against the version of the app that is in the App Store, currently 1.5.6. Where the app cannot do something, we say so on the page. Comparisons with other apps rely on their own website or App Store page, with the date we looked.
If you find a mistake, or something in the app works differently from what you read here, email [email protected] and we will correct the page.
- Screenshots come from the app itself, in the language of the page.
- The diagrams on this site are built by hand and show how information moves through the app, not what a screen looks like.
- We do not publish articles about health, worming, vaccination schedules or symptoms.
Where does your data live?
Kwispel has no account of its own and the studio runs no servers holding data about your dog. Your log is stored on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, and sharing with your pack goes through iCloud. The privacy policy lists which statistics the app does send.
