Sharing the log with your pack
A pack in Kwispel is a shared log for your dog. You invite up to five people, so six of you in total, and give each one the role Can view or Can log care. Whatever one person logs, the others see in the same record. Sharing works through iCloud, between the iCloud accounts of the people involved.
Written by the Kwispel team. We make Kwispel. Checked against Kwispel 1.5.6 on 25 September 2026. Spotted a mistake? Email [email protected] and we will fix it.
What can each role do?
| Role | What that person can do |
|---|---|
| Can view | Read the log of the shared dogs without adding anything |
| Can log care | Read the log and add check-ins, meals, medication and other care themselves |
How do you invite someone?
Invite someone
A name, plus an email address or phone number if you like.
A private iCloud link
With an email or number the link only works for that person’s iCloud account. Without one, you share it through the Apple share sheet.
Logging together
They open the link on an iPhone with Kwispel and see the same log.
What stays private?
In the app’s own words: “Your personal profile, address book and care library are never shared.” Pack members see the data of the dogs in the pack, nothing else.
If someone is only looking after your dog for a weekend, they do not need to join. A sitter handoff is a one-off PDF or text you simply send them.
What the pack does not do
- A pack holds at most six people.
- Kwispel has no messaging; you arrange things outside the app.
- Everyone who logs needs an iPhone with Kwispel and an iCloud account.
Kwispel for iPhone
Your dog’s log, shared with everyone who helps care for them.
