Your dog’s daily check-in

The Daily Check-in in Kwispel is a quick round of six questions: eating, drinking, energy, sleeping, scratching and licking, each on a five-step scale. After that you mark poop and pee as not observed, normal or not normal. Each dog gets one check-in per day, and it takes a few taps.

What goes into a check-in?

Eating, Drinking, Energy, Sleeping, Scratching, LickingAbsent · Reduced · Normal · Elevated · Excessive

How long does it take?

There are two short steps. If you want to say more, tap Add more details at the end. On an ordinary day, the All normal button on the Home card fills in the whole check-in as normal with one tap.

Saving a second check-in on the same day updates the first one rather than adding another. Forgot a day? The week strip on Home lets you go back to any of the last seven days. Future days stay locked.

Where do the check-ins show up?

Once there are at least two check-ins in the past week and no condition is active, Home shows a card with 7-day or 30-day trends. The Health tab tells you on how many days of the week or month you checked in.

Check-ins are part of the care report, a PDF with a day-by-day timeline. The vet report leaves them out.

What the check-in does not do

  • There is no field for mood.
  • Kwispel does not decide what is normal for your dog; you pick the step.
  • A check-in sends no alert and gives no advice.
